Friendship is one of God's most precious gifts
To have someone to whom we can turn
To know they will understand and care
Is richness incomparable
A shared sense of humour can put life in perspective
Troubles are lessened as we laugh
And forget our problems for a while
In their cheerful presence
But when life deals us a heavy blow
Which cannot be laughed away
How comforting it is to have a time of prayer
With the friend who cares
Thank God if you have such a friend
As I thank Him for mine who has laughed and prayed with me
