THE GIFT OF LAUGHTER

Don't tell me that Jesus doesn't have a sense of humour
Just look at His creation
And hear the delighted squeals of a child as he watches
A crab scuttling sideways!

Haven't you smiled at the fishes spurting water upwards
To knock flies off the twigs?
And don't you chuckle at the outrageous colours of the
Forest birds in their fiery plumage?

The antics of a puppy, the playfulness of a kitten
The hilarity of the monkeys
All these and so many more - impossible to list
Each vying for our laughter

Thank you Lord for passing on to us this gift of laughter
The precious gift which saves so many situations
How dull life would be if we couldn't see the funny side of things
Thank you Lord for humour.
